Thelma Louise Linkous, age 88, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Tazewell, Virginia following a lengthy illness. She was born in Tazewell County and was the daughter of the late Shuler and Amy Lowe Williams. Thelma was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired banker from Richlands National Bank, having worked for 43 years.

She was a Richlands High School Class of 1949 graduate and was of the Assembly of God faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn McGlothlin and Phyllis Blankenship. Survivors are: Her husband of 62 years, Rev.

Max C. Linkous Sister, Loretta Keen of Richlands, Virginia Brother, Jerry Williams and wife, Sandra of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Thelma Linkous will be conducted Friday, February 22, 2019 at 7pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Dr. Jeff Davis officiating. Entombment will follow on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11am.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30am. Pallbearers will be: Jack Oliver, Joe Baldwin, Kevin Hurd, and J.C. Owens. Friends may call from 5pm until 7pm on Friday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
