Anna Belle Folk, 106, of Grantsville, MD, died Monday, October 8, 2018, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born October 2, 1912, in Brothersvalley Twp. , PA, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Malinda Belle (Brant) Long.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Simon and John Long; and one sister, Elsie Beachley. Mrs. Folk was a homemaker and was previously employed as a custodian at the First United Bank and Trust. She was a member of the Beachdale Church of the Brethren, Grantsville Firemen’s Auxiliary, Grantsville Homemaker’s Club and the Grantsville Senior Citizens.

Anna Belle was an avid gardener, with an excellent green-thumb, who never met a plant she didn’t like. She took pride in her yard, her many flowers and her many dogs. She is survived by one daughter, Glenda (Jeff) Riddle, Baldwin, MD; one sister, Helen Brant, Somerset, PA; two granddaughters, Megan Riddle and Meredith Riddle.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 3-6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Beachdale Church of the Brethren, Berlin, PA, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Ronald Beachley officiating. Interment will be in the Beachdale Cemetery.
