Obituary for Mrs. Anna Rita Killackey Mrs. Anna Rita Killackey 99, former longtime resident of Morning View Drive, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Pittsfield on October 3, 1918, the daughter of Joseph P. and Anna Heimrich Purcell, she attended the local schools and was a 1936 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. Mrs. Killackey was employed at New England Telephone Co., retiring in 1953 after 16 years of service.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Her husband, former Pittsfield Fire Chief Raymond W. Killackey, died May 31 1965. They were married April 17, 1950.

Their son Raymond W. Killackey Jr. died in February 1975. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Notice: A burial for Mrs. Anna Rita Killackey will be private and at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
