Arthur Wesley Wells Jr., 74, of West Terre Haute, passed away in his residence on April 13, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born on February 5, 1944 in Brazil to Arthur Wells Sr. and Violet Kathryn Grogan Wells Nolte. He was a graduate of Brazil Senior High School class of 1962 and retired after proudly serving for 32 years in the U. S. Army and The Indiana National Guard in Brazil and Terre Haute.

Wells III (Judy) of Reading, KS; a daughter, Nancy Camarillo of Platte City, MO; four grandchildren, Monica Stewart (Brian), Stephanie Seitz (James), Holly McGuire (Brandon) and Brittany Wells; three sisters, Brenda Ziels (Bill), Sandra Lea Jones and Sabena Corbin (Bob); a brother, Lester A. Nolte, Jr. and seven great- grandchildren. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Betty Wells Matherly and Beverly Hyde Wells; his step-father and a son, Steven Douglous Wells.

Arthur attended First Baptist Church in Brazil and was a member of American Legion Post 2. He loved to watch NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. fan. He enjoyed singing karaoke and playing Bingo.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM in French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Avenue with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. Burial will be in Cottage Hill Cemetery with military honors to follow. Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to services in the funeral home.
