Barbara Jean Claudio, a former longtime resident of Beacon and currently of Monticello, entered into rest on January 28, 2019 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 67 years old. Barbara was born in Beacon on December 10, 1951 the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Way Davis.

On November 27, 1976 she married Leoncio Claudio. Mr. Claudio survives at home. Barbara worked as a Nurse’s Aid at Castle Point and several local nursing homes.

Barbara loved listening to music, especially Elvis. She was a happy-go-lucky person who was very caring and sweet. She loved to get her hair and nails done.

She always welcomed everyone and made time for each person. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her sons, Shane Claudio and Jeff Claudio; her grandchildren, Ashely, Kelsey, Gianna, Ethan, Logan, Aiden, Isabella and Heather; her great grandchildren, Eric, Jr., Noah, Anna and Dave; her brothers, Billy Davis and his wife, Ann Marie and Donald Davis and his wife, Cindy; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Harold Davis.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, February 3 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 4 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon. Burial will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill.
