Obituary for Barbara Jean Davis (Boomer) Barbara Jean Davis, 73, of Johnston City passed away at 10:02 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Barbara was born January 6, 1945 in Jackson, Michigan to Forrest and Lesta (Negus) Boomer. She married Wayne Ercel Davis on August 11, 1963 in Grass Lake, Michigan.

Wayne preceded her in death on February 12, 2004. Together they shared nearly 41 years of marriage before his passing. Barbara was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and tending to their every need.

She was very crafty, as she loved to crochet, arrange flowers and draw. She also loved to cook for her family. She was a member of Tower of Light Ministries in Marion.

Survivors include one daughter, Tandy Rametta of Johnston City; three sons, Mikael and Chad Davis of Johnston City and Chance Davis of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters and five brothers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of life service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Dr. Cindy Freeland officiating. Entombment of her cremains will be in Egyptian Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
