Bert’s Obituary Bert Griffith Williams, age 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his home. Born July 15, 1930 in Irwin, PA, he was the son of the late Bert and Dorothy (McKeever) Williams. Bert had worked as a maintenance supervisor for Carlisle Tire & Rubber, now Carlisle Tire & Wheel, until his retirement.

In his free time he was an avid hunter and loved going shooting. He loved the time he spent on “his spot on the mountain” and enjoyed watching all of the wildlife. Surviving is his loving wife, Carlotta A. “Carol” (Cline) Williams; his daughters, Sharon L. Williams-Duttry and Susan M. Williams-Wian of Carlisle; his son, Kirk A. Williams of Carlisle; his six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren; his sister, Joyce Kuehn of Monroeville, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Van Dyke. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 29 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment with military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Korean War Veterans Association at kwva. us/? page=mem_donate or to Salem Stone United Church of Christ, 514 Stone Church Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.
