MaReine’s Obituary Mary Reine Munkittrick, age 91, of Dillsburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born February 19, 1928 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Bridget (Wright) Browne. MaReine received nursing training through the U.S. Navy at St. Barnabas School of Nursing.

Although she worked at numerous hospitals throughout the country, her greatest accomplishment was being a loving wife and devoted mother to her four children. She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was instrumental in gathering design ideas for the new church building. She was also one of the founders of the church’s funeral luncheon committee and was active in the church’s annual Fish Frys.

MaReine was very passionate about her family and was extremely supportive of her son’s sports activities and other family events. Her avid support led her to be one of the founders of the Northern York Wrestling Boosters. MaReine was an enthusiastic sports fan who loved Penn State football, basketball and wrestling.

While the Big Ten Network was her favorite channel, she also enjoyed when Phil Mickelson won the Masters. Surviving is her loving husband of 68 years, Graham Telfair Munkittrick; her sons, Richard Graham Munkittrick and Dr. Thomas Wright Munkittrick and wife Ruth, all of Dillsburg, and Kevin William Munkittrick and wife Tina of Mechanicsburg; her daughter, Elizabeth MaReine Terrel and husband Richard of Doylestown; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Brandli. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard and Vincent Browne, Elizabeth Gilchrist, and Martha Riley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 12 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Road, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, March 11 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg.
