Betty Carleen McLeod affectionally known to some as “Cookie” went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, November 15, 2018. She was born in Parkersburg, WV on January 8, 1947 and was the daughter of the late William Leslie Morrison and Betty Louise Smith Franklin. She married her high school sweetheart Bruce Danton McLeod (Dan) on April 18, 1964.

They shared 54 years of marriage and enjoyed raising their two children together, their son Kevin Scott (Paula) McLeod, their daughter, Shannon Renee (Merle Jr.) Radabaugh. She was blessed with three grandchildren Jesse Lee McLeod, (his mother Tricia Ruble-McLeod), Justin Tyler and Jordan Hannah Radabaugh. She was blessed with two bonus grandchildren also with names starting with “J”, Jacob Preston and Jarrod Evan Huck.

She loved to plan. She would plan get togethers, excursions, flower beds and home remodels. She would always finish what she started.

This explains why her favorite scripture was Jeremiah 29. 11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre.
