Bruce Kevin Troutman, age 56, of Nebo, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. A native of McDowell County, Kevin was born on April 25, 1962 to Betty Ellison Troutman and the late Claude Troutman. In addition to his father, Kevin is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Letha Ellison and paternal grandparents, Robert and Dovie Troutman.

Kevin was a member of Nebo First Baptist Church. He loved fishing, camping, music, football and his family. Along with his mother Betty Troutman, he is survived by his wife Kathy Troutman of thirty-five years; two children, David Kevin Troutman (Amanda) of Marion and Bryan James Troutman (Melissa) of Nebo and one sister, Karen Kristeen Troutman (Dee).

Also surviving Kevin are three grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley and Lucas and numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Kevin’s life will take place on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Nebo First Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Worley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the church.
