Obituary for Carol Grubb (Mason) Carol A. (Mason) Grubb 79 of North Huntingdon died Tuesday May 29, 2018 in the Golden Heights, Irwin. She was born May 3, 1939 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late George and Mildred (Mooney) Mason. Prior to her retirement, Carol was employed as a registered nurse specializing in Behavior Health at the Forbes Regional Hospital; she was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of North Huntingdon and its confraternity of Christian Mothers, also active in the R.C.I.A.
program and a member of the West Penn Nursing Alumni. She was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School in 1957 and continued her education at West Penn School of Nursing where she graduated. She was a member of the Penns Woods Civic Association.
Carol volunteered for Medi Home Hospice and also for Redstone Highlands of North Huntingdon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Grubb. Surviving are a daughter, Amy G. Sailor and her husband Mark of Harrison City; three sisters, Gail Bacco and her husband Larry, of North Versailles, Jean Carozza and her husband, Jack, of Harrison City, Lois Tabis and her husband, rich, of Sharpsville and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; and her pet dog Bella.
Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. Parting prayers will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christina Burial celebrated in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Family suggests donations be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery and Mausoleum, North Versailles.
