Catherine Bowsky November 16, 1937 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Catherine Bowsky, age 101, of Brown City, Michigan passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was born November 10, 1917 in Deckerville, Michigan to the late Emery and Lena (Wilson) Rich. Catherine married Lewis J. Bowsky on January 16, 1937 in Custer Township.

He preceded her in death February 23, 1987. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years, loved to knit, crochet and make quilts. Catherine is survived by four children, Robert Bowsky of Peck, Aldean Bowsky (Kyle Hackett) of California, Jean (Rick) Verschoof of Kalamazoo and Jan Bowsky of Brown City; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyle and George Rich; four sisters Ethel See, Eva Owens, Norma Sheldon and Ila Jones; one grandchild Terri DeAmico and her daughter-in-law, Rosanna Bowsky. Arrangements have not been finalized at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church in Sandusky, MI or The American Cancer Society.
