Obituary for Charles A. Yuhas Charles A. Yuhas, 87, of North Huntingdon died Sunday April 22, 2018, surrounded by his loving family in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born March 11, 1931, in McKeesport a son of the late John A. and Elizabeth (Egley) Yuhas. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a draftsman and engineer for Westinghouse Electric with 52 years’ service designing mass transit systems.
He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, in North Huntingdon where he served on the parish council and was a member of the choir. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Chuck enjoyed golfing and bowling and was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Pitt Panther fan.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Margie Morris. Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years Joan (Danko) Yuhas; four sons Michael Yuhas and his wife, Cia, of Parker, CO, Vincent Yuhas, of Ellicott City, MD, Philip Yuhas and his wife, Carrie, of Orange CA, and Martin Yuhas and his wife, Kimberly, of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren Ken Yuhas and his wife, Marshawn, Pamela Yuhas, Hope Yuhas and Maggie Yuhas and Blake; two great grandchildren Jonas and Melana; sister-in-law Dee and her husband Bob and brother-in-law Richard and his wife, Sue and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin.
Parting prayers will be held 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home follows by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Versailles. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Charles to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.
