Charles John Liesen II Charles John Liesen II, 52, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at home. He was born on November 9, 1965, the son of Charles John Liesen Sr. and Janice Mae (Lumm) Griswold. He graduated from Davison High School.

After school he joined the United States Army and served faithfully. While in the Army he met the love of his life, Donna. They were faithful members of the Dexter Lake Church of God, where they were active in the church community and loved their friends there.

He worked at Duncan Aviation as an Aircraft Technician where he made many close friends. Chuck is survived by his two Daughters, Kaye (Justin) Shuman and Sara Liesen; Son, Marshal Liesen; Grandchildren, Olivia, Victoria, and Sophia Shuman; two Sisters, Debra (Philip) Crum and Donna (Tom) Newsom; two Brothers, Michael (Deb) Liesen, Chris Liesen, and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Janice Mae Griswold, and his wife Donna June Liesen in February of 2018.

Chuck enjoyed tinkering. He loved to be a busy body and have projects to work on. Chuck was a very humble man and he didn’t like to be the center of attention.

He loved to help people and help his community but he liked to do it quietly. He was a band dad just as much as Donna THE band mom. He always said he only drove his wife and the food, but everyone knew the band was so much more to him.

He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold and he will be deeply missed by all those he touched in life. Memorials may be made to: St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Dexter Lake Church of God, or Living Faith Church of God in Guyton, GA.
