Charles Leon Miller April 26, 1936 – January 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Charles Leon Miller, 82, of Perryville, died on January 13, 2019 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, MO. He was born April 26, 1936 in Perry County, MO son of William A. and Zelma (Keller) Miller. He and Dorothy Stortz were married on August 13, 1955.

She survives in Perryville, MO. He had worked 27 years as a forklift operator for Chrysler Corp. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and United Auto Workers Union #110.

He loved being outdoors, gardening and fishing. Other survivors include one son, Mike (Sheila) Miller; three daughters, Linda (Mike) Light, Laura French, Lisa (Terry) McClanahand and one daughter-in-law, Cathy LaRose all of Perryville; two brothers, Harold (Margie) Miller and Kenneth Miller all of Perry County, MO; 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Miller, two brothers, Clyde and Kermit Miller and a sister, Dorothy Duvall.

Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with parish wake at 6:30 pm and on Thursday, January 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 am. He will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for funeral Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer C.M. officiating.

Burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent de Paul Schools Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
