Christine H. Griffin, 86, formerly of Dawson passed away at Magnolia Manor of Buena Vista on April 14, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Harvey Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Alan Sanders will officiate the service. Mrs. Griffin was born in Randolph County on October 19, 1931, daughter to Elton Harrison and Roxie Roland Harrison.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired machine operator at Coats and Clarke. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Griffin; brothers, Sylvester Harrison and Thomas Harrison; and sister, Virginia Dare Hunter. Survivors include children, Barton T. Griffin, Timothy H. Griffin and Nancy B. Griffin; sisters, Ruby Lewis and Judy Dykes; and brother, Eddie Harrison.
