Christopher Lamont Simmons, 50 of York entered into rest on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jessica (Ambrose) Simmons. Christopher was born in York on July 27, 1968 to Marion Simmons and the late Shirley M. (Gaddist) Simmons.

Christopher leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Jessica; his father Marion Simmons; three sons, Christopher L. Simmons, Jr., Caspen L. Simmons and Aquile J. Simmons; a daughter Madison E. Ambrose; two brothers Darryl Simmons and Marion Simmons, Jr.; six sisters Eartha Simmons, Sharon Mitchell, Darlene Simmons, Gwendolyn Prater (Sam), Romelle Graham (Everton) and Marilyn Simmons and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his mother, Christopher was preceded in death by grandparents George E. and Dessie (Gelzer) Gaddist; a brother George “Bo” Simmons; a sister Mary Gaddist and a nephew Jaime Nathaniel Juan Sanabria.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 11AM at Jabez Ministries, 40 Jefferson Ave. , York PA 17401 with Pastor Adrian Boxley, officiating. A viewing will be from 9-11AM.

Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, York.
