Obituary for Sharon Ann Beard Sharon Ann Beard, 60, of Gettysburg, formerly of York, died peacefully, Saturday, November 3, 2018. Born in York on March 23, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Ray E. and Gloria A. (Shue) Beard. Sharon was a 1977 graduate of York VoTech High School.

She went on to serve her country in the US Air Force. She enjoyed spending time at Bell Socialization Services’ Oasis House. Sharon was a longtime resident of Autumn House East, where she enjoyed attending prayer services.

She enjoyed playing bingo and the companionship of her westie dogs. Sharon was a loving aunt, and cherished the time she spent with her 5 nieces and nephews and her 6 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her nieces and nephews, Sharon is survived by her brother, Richard E. Beard and his wife, Susan of Yoe.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia A. Blauser. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York, with Pastor John W. Bell officiating. A viewing will be held Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
