Clarence Elmer Skaggs, 76, of Owensboro, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 21, 1942 in Owensboro to the late Lonnie and Anetta Cooper Skaggs. He was retired from Casino Aztar as a dealer and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Clarence loved watching old westerns and the cooking channel and he enjoyed camping and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Vickie Skaggs; step-children, Michelle Warren (Tray) and Brian Peay, both of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Austin Peay (Monika), Hunter Peay, Katie Peay, Randy Peay and Addison Warren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Baisden of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to American Cancer Society, RFL of Daviess-McLean, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003. To plant a tree in memory of Clarence Skaggs, please visit our Tribute Store.
