Obituary for Clifton Thomas Pack Clifton Thomas Pack, 73, formerly of Kenova, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday October 12th, 2018 surrounded by his family. He is son to the late George Thomas and Gladys Mae Pack. He was a graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School where he claimed to be a big football star, lol.

He retired from HT Hackney where he did convenient store merchandising. He was an avid golfer and loved to go on golfing trips with his buddies to the beach. As many of his friends and family know, he was just a fun- loving guy and loved to tell truthful but funny stories, especially of how he found Jesus in Walmart.

If he were here to tell you the story himself, he would tell you that on July 9th in front of Walmart while waiting to be picked up, he was leaning on one of the cement columns when an “angel” walked up to him and asked if he believed in Jesus. He said, “yes sir, I do” and the “angel” then asked if he could pray with him. And Clifton said, “yes sir, I would be honored” and he said that as the “angel” was praying, he could feel the Holy Spirit overcome his body.

He also said he could feel that the “angel” could feel it as well. He said the “angel” never asked him who he was, or even looked up at him, but turned to walk away shaking his hands in the air to Heaven. Clifton then said as his daughter pulled to get him, the “angel” had disappeared.

As he told his daughter what happened, they looked for the “man” but quickly realized it was an “angel”. And so, this was his favorite story to tell of how he was finally saved… at Walmart. He was survived by his 3 loving children, Kimberly Davis, Shane Pack and Taneika Torres (Jaime).

He also is survived by his 11 grandchildren, Daniel Kingery, Thomas Farrell (Ashley), Emily, Kristen and Mason Pack, Teiran (Jennifer) Torres and Taelyn Torres as well as 6 great-grandchildren. He has 2 sisters, Barbara Bradshaw and Phyllis Ball (Ernie) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home on October 20th, 2018 from 2pm-4pm.

Memorial service will be from 4pm to 5pm. “When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn’t tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years”.
