Obituary for Connie Sue Good (Pilkenton) Connie Sue Good – Gate City, VA Connie Sue Good, 71, Gate City, VA passed away Monday, December 31st, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Connie was born on August 14th, 1947 to the late Newell Pilkenton and Billie Jean Ashworth. Connie retired from the photographic department of the Kingsport Press.
She was a member of Apostolic Gospel Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Violet Houchin and Barney Ashworth as well as her brother-in-law Terry Lawson. She is survived by her son, Casey Good, Gate City, VA; father of Casey, Billy Joe Good; sisters, Jedus Lawson, Gate City, VA, Toby Johnson (Eric), Kingsport, TN; niece and nephews, Darby Lawson, Gency White (Tim), Benjamin Johnson, Cooper Johnson; great niece and nephews, Jessica Baker, Justin Lawson, Sylas White; her church family and friends and many other friends and family.
The family will receive friends at Gate City Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Greg Street. Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
