Dale Edward Otto, 86, of Springs, PA, died Monday, May 7, 2018, at Meadowview Nursing Home, Berlin, PA. Born May 27, 1931, in Springs, he was the son of the late Roy and Melda (Maust) Otto. He was also preceded in death by one sister, H. Louise Livengood; one brother, Lynn R. “Ace” Otto; and one son-in-law, Craig Barron.

Mr. Otto was owner, operator and president of Otto Brick & Tile Works, Inc. and a 1949 graduate of Salisbury High School. Dale was an avid bowler and on June 27, 1966, he rolled a 5 game series score of 1331 and held this record for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kohler) Otto, formerly of Windber, PA; one son, Douglas (Lori) Otto, Salisbury, PA; one daughter, Debra Barron, Friedens, PA; one step-son, Scott (Missy) Holsopple, Windber; three grandchildren, Chris (Kristy) Otto, Lindsey (Jeff) Horst and Brent Barron; two great-grandchildren, Lillian and Brooke; former wife, Dixie Otto, Salisbury.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Pete Kaltenbaugh officiating.
