Kenard Robert “Ken” Miller, 79, of Springs, PA, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, PA. Born July 19, 1938, in Elizabeth, PA, he was the son of the late Lewis and Elsie (McCrew) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Griffiths) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a clerk for the Westing House Store and a U.S. Army Reserves veteran. Ken was a volunteer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Game Commission. He was a member of the Springs Historical Society and a volunteer fireman.

He is survived by his special friend, Jean Maust, Salisbury, PA. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Yutzy officiating.

Interment will be in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth. The family asks, that instead of flowers, send expressions of sympathy to the Springs Historical Society, c/o Joe Bender, 1317 Springs Rd. , Springs, PA 15562.
