Darlene June (Stahl) Werner, 68, of Meyersdale, PA, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Frostburg, MD, after a short ,but courageous battle with brain cancer. Born June 23, 1949, in Somerset, PA, she was the daughter of the late, Stewart and Anna Mae (Koch) Stahl. She was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Ronald Werner.

Darlene retired from Rest Assured Living Center. She touched the lives of many people with her generous spirit and thoughtfulness. She loved to go on daily walks, sew, crochet, garden and sit on her porch.

Darlene thoroughly enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and going on bus trips with her friends. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Wayne W. Werner; three children, Kellie Haer and husband, Steven, Christopher Werner and wife, Kayla, and Eric Werner and fiancé, Brittany Henry; seven grandchildren, Steven Haer and fiancé, Kaeli Day, Amber Haer, Angelin Werner, Aleasha Werner, Landon Werner, Gabriel Werner and Kennady Werner; two sisters, Susanna (Charles) Hites, Mercer, PA; Marion (Kenneth) Smith, Hollsopple, PA; one brother, Donald Stahl, Brunswick, NC; sister-in-law, Carol Werner; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Mary Jane Werner; numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends including, Janice Getson, Annetta Lepley and Angela Hardman. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy.

, Salisbury, PA, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dottie Grew officiating. Cremation will follow services. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
