Judith Ellen Hone Bittinger , March 15, 1940 — May 29, 2018

Judith Ellen Bittinger, 78, of Hanover, MD, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at her son’s residence, Hanover. Born March 15, 1940, in Confluence, PA, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Thomas and Alverta Elizabeth (Fike) Hone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rexford Owen Bittinger, Jr

Mrs. Bittinger was a financial analyst for Primerica, a subsidiary of CitiGroup. She also worked for the Department of Army at Fort Meade for 17 years, the Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C. for 5 years and was a volunteer nursing assistant at St. Agnes Hospital for 3 years. Judy was a member of the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Elkridge, MD.

She was the beloved mother of, Timothy (Jessica) Bittinger, Kimberly (Brian) Wrotten and Michael (Marie) Bittinger; dear grandmother of Ashley, Justin, Courtney, Tim, Julie, Aaron, Owen, Rachel, Lillie, Zach and Jake; caring great-grandmother of, Dereck, Johnny, Remi, Jaxon, Lucy, Lucus, Ryker, Josh, Lillie and Ava Grace. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Millie (Jim) Hengelsberg; two brothers-in-law, Patrick Bittinger and Regis Bittinger. Friends will be received at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt.

100 south) on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 3-5 and 1-9 p.m. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Ann Catholic Church, 12814 New Germany Rd. , Grantsville, MD, 21536, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ed Hendricks officiating.
