Crist J. Swartzentruber, 93, of Grantsville, MD, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born February 22, 1925, in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Jacob and Fannie (Kinsinger) Swartzentruber. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Esther (Yoder) Swartzentruber, January 9, 2008 and three sisters, Nancy Swartzentruber, Sarah Tice and Mary Swartzentruber.

Mr. Swartzentruber was a carpenter for T & T Builders and was a sausage maker for Yoder Meat Packers for 30+ years. He was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Church. He is survived by one son, Kenneth J. (Gloria) Swartzentruber, Salisbury, PA; one daughter, Pauline (Glenn “Chad”) Yoder, Grantsville; four grandchildren, Rodney, Ryan and Loren Yoder and Michelle Brenneman; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Mountain View Mennonite Church on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Yoder and Pastor Junior Beachy officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
