Joseph Albert Float, Sr., 90, of Salisbury, PA, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, MD. Born April 26, 1928, in Wilkinsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Elizabeth (Hetzell) Float. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and David; eight sisters, Sarah, Anna, Miriam, Jean, Esther, Mary, Ruth and Elizabeth.

Mr. Float was a HVAC technician for 40 years and a member of the Oak Dale Church, Salisbury. He attended the Conway & Daniel Webster trade schools. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean (Churchel) Float; three sons, Joseph Albert (Jennifer) Float, Jr., Marysville, OH; John Eugene (Renee) Float, Monroeville, PA; Charles Thomas (Colleen) Float, Pitcairn, PA; three daughters, Debra McOlgan, Perkasie, PA; Lisa Carol (Raymond) Fazio, Salisbury, PA; DeAnna Jane Beachy, Springs, PA; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Oak Dale Church, 9201 Mason Dixon Hwy. , Salisbury, on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the church at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Byler officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Dale Cemetery.
