Nellie E. Slayton, 79, of Salisbury, PA, died Monday, June 4, 2018, at Rest Assured Assisted Living, Meyersdale, PA. Born December 30, 1938, in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maggie (Mitchell) Lung. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Art Slayton; one son, George Hilliard; four brothers, Charles, Albert, George and Earl and seven sisters, Frances, Mable, Jean, Grace Elizabeth, Arminta, Gladys and Pearl.

Mrs. Slayton was a seamstress for Salisbury Sportswear. She is survived by three sons, Rocky (Becky) Hilliard, St. Paul, PA; Champ (Sue) Slayton, Salisbury; Mike (Tammy Lee) Slayton, Garrett, PA; one daughter, Lori Sines, Salisbury; one brother, Harry Lung, Boynton, PA; nine grandchildren, Herb Hilliard, Corie Hilliard, Alicia Folk, Brittany Hershberger, Shyann Slayton, Danica Smith, Amanda Marco, Natasha McKenzie and Sadie Slayton; six great-grandchildren, George Hilliard, Nicole Hilliard, Jaelyn Green, Jase Folk, Corie Hilliard, Jr. and Gracie Hutzell. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy.

, Salisbury, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Byler officiating. Interment will be in the Salisbury Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
