Margaret Ellis Thurston, 80, of Oakland, MD, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Oakland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Oakland. Born September 7, 1937, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Neal Monroe and Flossie Cleo (Upole) Thurston, Sr She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Franklin R. Best and Donald C. Price; one brother, Neal Monroe Thurston, Jr.; one sister, Grace Ann (Thurston) Best and one granddaughter, Heather Price.

Ms. Thurston worked in data entry for Westat. She is survived by one son, Randy Franklin Best, Hedgesville, WV; one daughter, Donna (Price) Richardson, Sarasota, FL; one brother, P. Dennis Thurston, Arlington, WA; two sisters, Mary (Thurston) King, Clarksburg, MD; Barbara (Thurston) Lane, Juno, AK; one granddaughter, Samantha Price and special thanks to niece, Dawn Biddinger, Oakland. A graveside service will be conducted in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy.
