Obituary for Danny Ray Mitchell Danny Ray Mitchell, 67 of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord May 30, 2018 at Thomas Memorial Hospital. Danny was born May 1, 1951 in South Charleston to the late Donald and Ruth Mitchell. He is also preceded in death by brother Charles Morris.

He was a member of Rock Branch Independent Church and he loved his pastors and church family. Danny loved everyone. He had cousins who were like siblings, friends who were like family, many who called him coach, and all those he loved like his own, who called him Dad and Poppy.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Robin (Dudding) Mitchell of St. Albans; his son, Justin Mitchell (Clarissa) of Nitro; sister, Frances Roberts (Roger) of Cross Lanes; brother, Richard Mitchell of Melbourne FL; grandchild on the way, Christine Rose Mitchell; mother-in-law, Christine Dudding of Scott Depot; sister-in-law, Linda Preiser (Mario); brother-in-law, Kevin Dudding (Kim); nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday June 3, 2018 at Rock Branch Independent Church, Rock Branch, with Pastor Delbert Hawley and Pastor Brad Joseph officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in Judson Baptist Church Cemetery.
