Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Landers Kenneth Eugene Landers, 77 of Poca went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 20, 2018, at his home surrounding by his family. Born August 4, 1940, in Poca, Kenneth was a son of the late, Glendon and Avalee “Cricket” Landers. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army Reserves, retiring with the rank of Master sergeant.

He was a pipefitter with American Visco from 1962-1973 and retired from John Amos Power Plant with 34 years of dedicated service. Kenny loved his job and all of his co-workers at John Amos. Kenny loved the Lord and the word of God, he studied his bible every day.

He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, St. Albans where he served as a Deacon and Awana leader, bus driver and adult Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the Christian motorcycle club and was involved with the Run for the Son motorcycle rides. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Brenda Workman Landers, their children, Kendra (Brent) Coates of Interlachen, FL, Scott (Debbie) Landers of Poca, Mark (Linda) Landers of Charlotte, NC, Hope (Fred) Bailey of Charleston; grandchildren; Samantha (Joshua) Fortner, Justin Coates, Josh (Kara) Landers, Aaron Landers, Brianna Linville, Miranda Linville, Kristen Landers, Kyle Landers, Amy (Josh) Baswell, Emily Bailey, and Allie Bailey; great-grandchildren, Nola Kay Fortner, Noah Fortner, Matthew Saunders, Natalee Landers, Bekah Landers, and Baylee Landers; sisters, Linda (Jerry) McClanahan of Poca, Sherry (St. Sen.

Glenn Jeffries) of Red House; brothers, Jerry (Karen) Landers of Charleston; special sisters-in-law, Ann Riffee, Sandra (Keith), Donnie (Bill) Parkins and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 701 MacCorkle Avenue, SW St. Albans, with Pastor Mike Hager officiating and Brother John P. White and Brother Dick Frost assisting. Burial with military honors will follow at Asbury Family Cemetery, Rock Branch.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Faith Missionary Baptist, HospiceCare or the Union Mission. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
