Darrel Curti Ferguson , August 10, 1955 — July 30, 2018

Darrell Curtis Ferguson, 62, of Old Mill Rd. Jane Lew passed away at 11:14 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following a brief illness. He was born in Weston on August 10, 1955 a son of Curtis Gene Ferguson and wife, Gladys, of Jane Lew, and Doris Ann Hughes Travis and husband Jim, of Jane Lew.

On October 10, 1996 he married the love of his life, Rebecca Gail Stover, who will dearly miss her best friend, loving husband, and caring confidant after 21 years of marriage. His generous, devoted nature will be carried on by his three children: Bradly Wayne Ferguson and wife, Jill, of Jane Lew, Lorie Lovejoy and husband, Wesley, of Jane Lew, and Reverend Matthew Scott Edward Waggoner and wife, Alicia, of Williamsport, PA,; six grandchildren who will dearly miss their Papaw: Gabriel, Chloe, Abbagail, Whitney, Alexis, and Hannah; three siblings: Ronnie Gene Ferguson of Jane Lew, Robert Gene Ferguson and wife, Megan, of Friendsville, MD, and Regina Rochelle Starett and husband, Joe, of Jane Lew; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal companion and beloved Yorkie, Lucy. He will be greeted at Heaven’s Gates by his fun-loving sidekick and beloved Chihuahua, Sissy, who passed this Spring.

Darrell graduated from Lewis County High School with the class of 1973. He worked as a well tender for several oil and gas companies, including Gas Field Services. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, frog gigging, woodworking, and gardening.

He attended the Victory Assembly of God and his faith was the foundation of his life, and his family was the greatest of God’s blessings. Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018.

Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Riffle officiating. Interment will follow in Law Chapel Cemetery in Smoke Camp. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
