Virginia Lynn Mowery, 49, of Weston passed away at 1:23 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Tabb, TX on October 7, 1968 a daughter of the late Lewis Decker and Sylvia Steinbaugh Decker of Great Capon, WV. On October 15, 2016, just shortly after her birthday she married her best friend and partner, Timothy Lee Mowery who will miss her greatly.

Virginia is also survived by two sons: Charles Shives of Great Capon, WV, and Michael Shives of PA; and two siblings: Patricia Decker, and Calvin Decker both of Great Capon, WV. In addition to her father, Virginia is preceded in death by one sister, Dawn Whitley. Virginia worked as a clerk for the 7-Eleven in Weston and Buckhannon for the past three years.

Her giving nature was apparent because she enjoyed volunteering for the Lewis County Food Pantry. She liked to cook, hunting and fishing, and anything outdoors. Virginia had a kind heart and cherished her family and friends.

In keeping with Virginia’s wishes, cremation has been honored and a private service will be held at a later date. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored and privileged to serve the family of Virginia Lynn Mowery. Online condolences may be made at www.
