Anna “Peggy” Lee Alonso, 83, of Weston went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport after a brief illness. She was born in Harrison County on January 12, 1935 a daughter of the late John Franks and Geraldine Prunty. Peggy is survived by four children: Regina Taylor and husband, David, of Weston, Harold Knight Jr. and wife, Maria Siewert, of Florida, Sherry Eye and husband, Okey, of Hendricks, WV, and Theresa McCue of Weston; eight grandchildren: Heather Montgomery of Weston, Kelly Montgomery of Belpre, OH, David Taylor of Weston, Ashley Knight of West Union, Adam Knight of Roanoke, Stephanie Smarr of Belington, Ryan Smarr of Weston, and Howie Pletcher of Virginia; seven great grandchildren: Montgomery Stover, Courtney and Cierra Smith, Cheyenne and Keaghan Wine, Caden McFaddon, and Kiersten Pletcher; and one great-great grandchild, Quinn Salazar.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by four brothers: Sonny, Junior, Bobby and Larry Coffman; and one sister, Jean Franks. Peggy worked as an EMT for Jan Care for at least 30 years. She was still working at age 74 showing her extraordinary work ethic.

She was a caring and compassionate person that would help anyone in need. After retirement she treasured the time spent with grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great-great grandchild. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Services will be Private and held at a later date. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew is honored and privileged to serve the family of Anna “Peggy” Lee Alonso.
