Gerald “Porky” Faye Postlethwait, 64, of Jane Lew passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in the comfort of his own home. He was born in February 11, 1954 a son of the late Ervin Postlethwait Jr. and Audra Leona Murray Postlethwait. On August 20, 1994 he married the love of his life, Teresa Weaver.

Gerald missed her greatly after her passing on November 22, 2003 and has now been reunited with her at the pearly gates. Gerald is survived by three brothers: Gary Postlethwait and wife, Sharon, of Keiths Fork, Raymond Postlethwait and wife, Maryanne, of Jane Lew, and Donald Postlethwait of Jane Lew; and several nieces and nephews. After graduating from Lewis County High School, Gerald spent 7 years in California working for Datsun.

But to him, the beauty of California was second to West Virginia. After returning home, Gerald worked for Chenoweth Ford, Weston Ford, MEC Construction, and Consolidated Gas. He eventually retired from parts sales at NAPA Auto Parts in Weston.

His home in Almost Heaven was the perfect place for Gerald to raise his cat Puffy and the best outdoors for the deer hunting he enjoyed. Not to mention, that the winding country roads were an awesome setting for the classic rumble of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Family and friends will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd.

in Jane Lew from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Jane Lew.
