Michael Anthony Herbinko, 56, of Ireland passed away at 6:21 a.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 23, 1962 a son of Michael Stanley Herbinko, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA and Martha Rae Herbinko of Bellevue, PA. On October 17, 2003 Michael married Karen Lee Eggleton who will greatly miss her husband and best friend.

Michael is survived by four siblings: Mark Herbinko and wife, Phyllis, of Pittsburgh, PA, Christine Jameson and husband, Larry, of Hayes, VA, Kathleen Brill and husband, Christopher, of Hayes, VA, and Anita “Nina” Walsh and husband, Erick, of Baldwin, PA; and stepmother Terri Herbinko of Pittsburgh, PA. Michael was a graduate of Avalon High School. He spent over 22 years dedicating his life to protecting others with the United States Army.

He was very interested and competent in working with Internet Technology. Michael also enjoyed doing mechanic work. He loved being outdoors deer hunting and camping.

On Sundays he enjoyed watching his Pittsburgh Steelers play. While he enjoyed his work and hobbies, he lived for his family and nothing came before them. Michael’s request for cremation has been honored.

Graveside services will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies located at 1158 Morgan Rd. in Bridgeville, PA 15017 at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 with Pastor Tim Lindsay officiating. The United States Army will accord full military honors.
