Helen Regina Garton Jett, 75, of Jane Lew passed away unexpectedly at 4:53 p.m. on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Jane Lew on March 4, 1943 a daughter of the late Brent Orville and Iris Maude Wymer Garton. Her loving husband, Richard Jett, greeted her with open arms at Heaven’s Gates.

Helen is survived by two sons: Terry Garton of Sand Fork and Joe Fink of Jane Lew; three brothers: Jack Garton of Jane Lew, Rudy Garton and wife, Betty, and Herschel Edward Garton both of Sandusky, OH; two grandchildren: Michael Garton of WY, and Whitney Garton of Prospect, WA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by eight siblings: Bob, Jimmy, Bill, and Ronnie Garton, Wanda Powers, Lila Flesher, Barbara Lilly, and Anita Greaver. In her younger years, Helen enjoyed traveling.

Later, she was very happy being a homemaker who took great care of her boys, pets and garden. She also enjoyed playing hidden object games on her computer. Helen’s request for cremation has been honored and a Private Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
