Ida Mae Butcher, 79, of Lost Creek went to be with Jesus at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loving family. She was born in Jane Lew on October 20, 1938 a daughter of the late James Russell Linger and Juanita Barnett. Ida is survived by five children: Dianna Dalida and husband, Paul, of Boston MA, Trella Reed and husband, Tom, of Bridgeport, Allen Butcher and wife, Theresa, of Weston, Tisa McVay of Jane Lew, and Trina Caputo and husband, Frank, of Fairmont; eight grandchildren: Cassandra Dalida, Jonathan Reed, Franki Rhoades, Chelsi Walther, Charles “Bubby” Caputo, Kendra McVay, and Trent and Logan Butcher; nine great grandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Lucille Linger of West Milford.

In addition to her parents, Ida was greeted at Heaven’s gate by two sisters: Virginia Morris and Anna Lee Frazier; one brother, James Goodlow Linger; and one grandson, Alex Dalida. She was a Methodist by faith. Her faith and compassionate heart showed in her work while she was employed at the Weston State Hospital for 13 years and later as she worked as an in-home caregiver.

Ida loved vacations at the beach and cooking up a delicious meal. Most of all she loved her family and they will dearly miss her. The family requests that donations be made to Health Access 489 Washington Ave.

Clarksburg, WV 26301, in memory of Ida. Ida’s request for cremation has been honored and private services will be held at a later date. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored and privileged to serve the family of Ida Mae Butcher.
