Leonard Ray Williams, 57, of Jane Lew, WV passed away November, 13, 2018 in the comfort of his own home under the compassionate care of WVU Medicine Hospice. He was welcomed to the world on September 19, 1961 in Weston by his late parents Fred Junior and Betty Louise Knicely Williams. On February 13, 1983 Leonard made his Valentine, Patty Gay Smith, his wife.

Together they had two wonderful children and 35 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Leonard will be missed by one son, Robert Junior Williams of Jane Lew, one daughter, Rebecca Dawn Williams-Leon and husband, Christopher, of Kincheloe; three grandchildren: Johnathon Ray Leon, Alexis Marie Leon and Zyra Williams; three sisters: Margaret Sutton and husband, Walter, of Kincheloe, Carolyn Jones and husband, Fred, of McWhorter and Helen Wiant and husband, Terry, of Farimont; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, one brother, Herbert Williams preceded Leonard in death.

Leonard was a Baptist by faith who had attended Broad Run Baptist Church. He was a sportsman who loved everything about the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and horseshoes in the backyard. A truck driver for over 20 years, Leonard drove for HH&R Sanitation and Zinn Excavation & Septic before he settled into an office of Clarksburg Blue Print.

Sadly, he had to take leave after only 5 years due to his illness. Leonard’s wishes to be cremated have been honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd.
