Mary Jane Walker, 73, of Camden passed away at 7:24 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following respiratory complications. She was born in Weston on July 2, 1945 a daughter of the late Elbert Lee Rohrbough and Lulu Grace McKinley Rohrbough. On March 12, 1963 she married James “Larry” Walker who will dearly miss his devoted wife who managed their home with great efficiency for 55 years.

Her giving, thoughtful nature will be carried on by her daughter, Joyce Walker Ferguson of Weston; four grandchildren: Tasha Harper and husband, Mike, of Weston, and Hannah, Deserea, and Jessica Ferguson of Weston; two great grandchildren: Mark and Lily Sprouse of Weston; seven siblings: James A. Rohrbough and wife, Shelby, of Weston, Dolphe D. “Buck” Rohrbough of Weston, John E. Rohrbough and wife, Lucille, of Jane Lew, Rex D. Rohrbough and wife, Linda, of Weston, Theresa Isabelle Foster of Weston, Priscilla Bonney “Cricket” Hefner and husband, George, of Weston, and Phyllis Carol Groves of Camden; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings: Elbert Rolland Rohrbough, Annabelle Louise Foster, Lulu Millicent Hines and husband Edward, Rhoda Mary Marlow and husband Gilbert, Ruhama Effie Woodson and husband Robert, and Calvin L. Rohrbough; and two brother-in-laws: Carl Foster and Woodrow Groves. Mary devoted her entire career to working as an Administrative Manager for Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Jane Lew.

She was the rock of the operation, who was a wealth of information, and always available to answer questions and assist families in need. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. They will dearly miss their strong, caring Grammy who was always there to support and encourage them.

Mary was a member of the Miles Chapel United Methodist Church, where she made many friends over the years. Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Claire Peggs officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Jane Lew. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored and privileged to serve the family of Mary Jane Walker.
