David’s Obituary David Francis Sill, 23, of Liverpool passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side. Born in Syracuse, he was raised in Liverpool, graduating from Liverpool High School in 2015. David was a long-time athlete and loved competing in the Special Olympics since the age of 7.

He was always quick to join forces with local law enforcement in promoting and fundraising. He loved sports, especially SU athletics. David enjoyed singing, dancing and hanging out with his friends, as well as performing in Front Row Players theatre group.

Two of his true passions though were trips to Disney World and meeting Sports Mascots. David, AKA Captain Courageous, inspired many with his story of courage and perseverance. His innocence and love of every person he met was an inspiration to all who knew him.

David’s love for life and his contagious laugh will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Richard D. “Ric” and Lori (Harris) Sill, his brother, Michael B. Sill, maternal grandmother, Jessie Harris, paternal grandmother, Marie Sturge all of Liverpool, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. David also leaves behind his beloved cat Louie.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am in Northside Church, 7965 Oswego Road, Liverpool with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery.
