David W. Neufer, Sr., 81, of Route 442, Muncy, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna Skilled Nursing Unit where he had been residing the past few weeks. Born October 7, 1936 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Maldon T. and Mildred C. (Andrews) Neufer. On October 5, 1957 he married the former Miriam Crawford and they have celebrated 60 years of marriage.

He was a 1956 graduate of Watsontown High School and served with the National Guard. David retired from the former Sprout-Bauer, Muncy where he had worked for 24 years, and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville. He enjoyed being outdoors and mowing his lawn.

Surviving besides his wife are a son, David W. Neufer, Jr. and his wife Judy of Avis; a daughter, Shirley Brown of Muncy; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Janet Digan and her husband Ermin and Dorothy Levan and her husband Myron. He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Reynolds and a brother-in-law, Richard Reynolds. A memorial service to honor David’s life will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc.

, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville with the Rev. Erwin C. Roux, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
