Myron O. LeVan, 90, of Turbotville Road, Watsontown, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. Born May 12, 1928 in rural Milton, he was the son of the late William A. and Hazel (Gamberling) LeVan. On December 17, 1950 he married the former Doris M. Smith and they have celebrated 67 years of marriage.

He was a 1946 graduate of Milton High School where he had played football. Myron farmed the family farm since 1958 and was a conservationist and organic farmer long before it became popular. He had also been a salesman for Nature’s Liquid Fertilizer in central PA.

He loved to read, watch Penn State football and hiking, but most of all loved being a grandfather and spending time with his grandchildren. Myron was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Muncy. Surviving besides his wife, Doris LeVan at home are three daughters: Martha Poitevint of Taylor, SC; Myra Nantkes of Fudia, MN; and Mary Lieity of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren: Jonathan Poitevint, Rachel Burrow, Jess Nantkes, Luke, Joe, and Marie Lieity, and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were a brother, Clifford LeVan and two sisters: Caroline Blue and Garnett DeHart. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 to 11:30AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church, 5471 Clarkstown Road, Muncy where the funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM with Pastor Charles E. Teffeteler officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Myron’s memory be made to his church’s building fund or missionary fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville. www.
