Doris I. “Dutch” Stark, 89, Turbotville, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at her home. Born February 7, 1929 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Helena (Hinston) Johnson. On September 27, 1946 she married Kenneth D. Stark and they celebrated 46 years of marriage until his death November 3, 1993.

She retired in 1972 from Shnadig’s, Montoursville where she had worked 19 years. She loved caring for her home and spending time with her family and picnics on their island in the river. She enjoyed her cats and puzzle books.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law with whom she lived, Elizabeth A. and Timothy Neitz, Turbotville; two sons: Richard A. Stark, Williamsport and David L. Stark in Hawaii; six grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Nellie Whitman, Williamsport. Preceding her in death besides her husband was a son, Kenneth R. Stark who died September 9, 2014 and three brothers: Jack, George, and Ted Johnson. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
