Obituary for Delores “Louise” Jones Wright ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA – Delores “Louise” Jones Wright, 84, graciously and peacefully entered into heaven reuniting with her first love, Robert Lee Jones, son, Richard Allen Jones, and grandson, Joshua Tanner Jones on Friday (November 16, 2018); she was surrounded by her children and her family. Louise, born and raised in Russell County, VA, the daughter of the late Carson Eugene King and Retha Marie Nash King, was married to the late Robert “Buck” Jones for 18 years.

They resided in Russell County and relocated to Bristol, VA where he was the founder of Jones Trucking Company. She worked in the dry cleaners for a short period, and then stayed at home to raise her four children in addition to three step-sons later when she married her loving late husband of 32 years, Bueford F. Wright. Louise lived her life caring for her family and friends, serving her Lord and Savior.

She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Ladies Axillary Leader, choir member, and various other church roles. She was a Charter Member of Rejoice Worship Center and Midway Church. She enjoyed her family, antiquing, and traveling.

Her most treasured trip was to Israel when she was 65. Louise was also preceded in death by seven sisters, Margaret, Ruth, Peggy, Dorothy, Janet Sue, and Judy Marie; and one brother, Tommy. Left to cherish her memories are children, Ronald Lee Jones of Bristol, Kerry Michael Jones and wife Sharon of Bristol, and Karen Jones Stallard and husband Mark of Coeburn; three step-sons, Wayne Wright, Mark Wright and wife Jeanie, and Kevin Wright and wife Alyson; one brother, Donald O’Dell King of Bristol; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will greet guests and share memories on Friday (November 23, 2018) from 5 to 7 pm at Castlewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Kenneth Johnson and Rev. John McCarroll officiating.

Louise will be laid to rest beside her loving husband on Saturday (November 24, 2018) at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, VA. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Castlewood Funeral Home at 11 am to go in procession. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Aaron Jones, Chris Jones, Dr. Robert Jones, Ryan Jones, Jason Jones, Bucko Jones, Chase Jones, and Tyler Jones.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mountain View Long term care and her niece, Jami Lawson for all the kind and compassionate care that was both given and shown to show to Louise and her family during her time of need.
