Obituary for Dennis Lee Neighbors Dennis L. Neighbors, 82, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at CHI-Health St. Francis. Family will greet friends from 5-7 pm, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at All Faiths Funeral Home. A prayer service will follow at 7 pm.

Dennis was born on November 30, 1935 to Arthur and Berniece (Forman) Neighbors, in Cedar Rapids, NE. He was raised and received his education in Cedar Rapids. On November 17, 1953, he was united in marriage to Darlene Otto.

The couple made their home in Grand Island where Dennis worked for supreme Foods and they raised their family. Dennis enjoyed Husker football, family BBQ’s, stock car racing, bird watching, and traveling north. His greatest enjoyment was being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Debbie Thomson (Mike Brockley) of Grand Island, Daryl Neighbors (Cheryl Kerkman) of Dodge, and Dean (Lori) Neighbors of Cairo; his sister Kay Pool of Council Bluffs, IA; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and a granddaughter, Amanda Neighbors. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
