Obituary for Carl Allen Nielsen Carl A. Nielsen, 53 of Grand Island passed away on July 18, 2018 at University Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. To honor his wishes, cremation was chosen. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 27th at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Dan Naranjo will officiate. Following the service, everyone is invited to a luncheon at the United Veteran Club. Carl was born on March 23, 1965 in Grand Island to Clarence and Shirley (Hoffer) Nielsen.

He grew up and received his education in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1984. Carl then dedicated himself to a career he loved as a flooring installer, carrying on the family trade that was passed down to him by his father, Clarence. Carl enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

His hobbies included camping, fishing, puzzles, playing darts, and being laid back and taking it easy. He is survived by: significate other, Dawn McCurdy and sons, Anthony (Amber) of Riverside, CA, Jeston of Grand Island; brothers, Stacey and children, Mandy, Michael, and Matthew of Grand Island; Scott (Tonya) and children, Christopher (Whitney), David and Jordan of Stapleton, AL; Channey and children, Taeler and Abbigeal of Grand Island; Stephen and daughter, Ryloe of Grand Island; sisters, Sadie (Billy) and children, Jacob, Caleb, and Kaylee of Grand Island; Candice (Jodi) and children, Aubrey, Addison, Ava of Omaha; and many great-nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his father, Clarence and Grandparents.
