Obituary for Charles “Chuck” W. Dixon Charles “Chuck” Dixon, 81, of Grand Island, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at CHI- Health St. Francis, while surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Reverend Kelly Karges will officiate.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Westlawn Cemetery. Chuck was born on June 11, 1937, in Belleville, KS, to Wesley and Helen (Kinley) Dixon.

He later moved to Grand Junction, CO, where he was raised and graduated from high school in 1955. After high school, Chuck entered the Navy and served until 1959. He was united in marriage to Beth Roehm on September 10, 1960.

Two children were blessed into this union. The couple moved to Nebraska in 1965, where Chuck first worked for Redman’s Mobile Homes, and then spent 25 years at New Holland. Chuck was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed poker, horseraces, Husker football, the Denver Broncos, and WWE. Most of all, he cherished his time with his wife, kids, grandchildren, and especially his great grandchildren. Those that will forever miss him include his wife, Beth; children, Lonnie (Kathy) Dixon, and Paula (Jim) Martin; grandchildren, James Martin, Jonathan Martin, and Samantha Gardner; great grandchildren, L.J., Jonny, Wesley, Kamilah, Dredyn, Harper, Quinnton, Levi, and Skyler; cousin Larry Castogunay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
