He graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1970. Dennis had worked at John Deere in Ankeny for 15 years and later drove a truck. Surviving are his daughter, Michele Nemmers; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings: Pam Carrel, David Ohnemus, Patty Lawr, Peggy Petersen, Darrel Ohnemus, Pauline Cramer, and Phyllis VandeLune; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
