Dennis’ Obituary Dennis R. Anthony, age 71 of Mechanicsburg, lost his battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at home. He was born in Harrisburg and was the son of Raymond E. and Helen M. (Markiewicz) Anthony. Dennis was a graduate of John Harris High School Class of 1965.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War Era. Dennis was a retired patrolman dedicating 25 faithful years of service to the Lower Allen Township Police Department. In addition, Dennis also worked as a CSO for the Mechanicsburg Police Department and was a shuttle driver for Fred Beans KIA.

Dennis was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704, as well as the Mechanicsburg Club. He was a former member of Suds and Clubs Golf League at Rich Valley Golf Course. Dennis is survived by his wife Christine E. (Chandler) Anthony, a daughter Kimberly R. Baer (Troy) of Lewisberry, a son Keith M. Anthony (Jennifer) of Mt.

Holly Springs, a step son Jason Culley (Christina) of Lemoyne, a brother John Anthony (Carol) of Middletown, 9 grandchildren Alisha Rhodes, Codie Culley, Alexander Anthony, Kayla Anthony, Madyson Baer, Samantha Williams, Cole Baer, Madison Williams, and Clay Baer, a niece and three nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in memory of Dennis may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
